NPR Story on Eric Carle

Eric Carle is a well-known children’s book artist. You’ve probably seen his “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” or “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?.” Trey really loves the Eric Carle books that we have and we read them to him daily.

NPR recently did a great story on Eric Carle. He tells of how he grew up in Nazi Germany as a child and that dark time made him want to use color as much as possible in all his art. You can listen to it and see an audio slideshow about his work at NPR.org.
