26th Annual Chitlin Festival

About a month ago, we drove down to the little town of Yatesville just to look around and snap some pictures. While talking to some locals I found about THE event of the year: the Chitlin Hoedown. I had to have explained to me what exactly a “chitlin” was. Though the idea of fried pig intestines wasn’t the most appetizing, I still marked October 25th down on my calendar. We returned to Yatesville today for the festivities and had a blast. There was a parade, a marching band, and of course… lots and lots of chitlins.
