Trey has been having a great time in Richmond with his grandparents. One night, two journeymen joined the Hauns for dinner. Trey had a great time entertaining them while playing with drums and a wooden Noah’s ark set. Later during the week, Roger took Trey to work with him. I think he actually put Trey to work, but I guess Trey has to earn his keep somehow.
Tonight, Kristin (my fellow intern) and her husband Jamie had me over for a steak dinner. Her daughter Lainey brought out the cake. It was a very nice night out of the empty house.
Today, William flew out to Ghana for the next 3 weeks. He will be documenting the 50th anniversary celebration for the Baptist Medical Centre. You can follow his journey at www.haunsinafrica.com.
Today Trey met Spiderman…I mean, Pyderman.
When I got home the other night, Trey and William and the stroller were gone. I threw on my running clothes and headed out the door. Taking a 50/50 guess about their direction, I headed towards the spillway. When WIlliam finally returned my call, I realized that I had gone about 15 minutes in the opposite direction from where they were down at the beach on the lake. Once I joined them, Trey and I had a great time walking up and down along the shore. While William had managed to keep Trey’s shorts dry…they became soaking wet on my watch. Oh well. We had a wonderful time enjoying the beautiful weather down by the peaceful lake.
